About The Founder

Lela C. Thompson is a seasoned public relations, marketing and event planning professional with more than twelve years experience in developing and staging publicity campaigns and special which include: fashion shows, award shows, tradeshows, galas and soirees. Her career is multi-dimensional: from independent publicist to marketing account executive to fashion designer. She is recognized for her out of the box marketing campaigns, event presentations and creative concepts.

Positioned as a valuable, detailed oriented public relations and event planning consultant, Lela caters to the needs of small businesses, the corporate community, publishers, entertainment professionals, book authors, designers, politicians and the arts community. Those who know her can state she puts people first, pays attention to detail, adds value in all projects and keeps moving at a constant beat excelling forward.

As a youth she wrote poetry, designed clothes and created clay sculptures. Lela’s interest in art paved the way for her to attend FIDM, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Her talents in fashion landed immense design opportunities with various apparel manufacturers throughout California. Directing several fashion shows and handling the publicity of these events sparked interests that lead Lela to broadening her education in the field of communications receiving her B.A. in Communications from California State University Long Beach.

Lela’s interest in the field of marketing expanded from design, to entertainment marketing whereas she worked with key marketing and promotional teams at KCET Los Angeles, 20th Century Fox Studios, Walker Communications and other corporate assignments connected to marketing and public relations. Today, Lela operates a thriving public relations, marketing, consulting company “It’s All About You PR. She is a member of National Association of Women Business Owners, the Entertainment Publicist Professional Society, Women In Film, a counselor to youth and supports national chartable foundations as well as launching her own.
